Do you believe in dream symbolism?

I was just curious how many people believe dream symbolism is accurate. Thanks for answering.

I do(: i believe your dreams reflect what you are going through in present life but more complex. and you dream about things you noticed sub consciously through the day. dreams are complex things really xD

Can you recommend an online dream dictionary?

I am looking for a free online Dream Dictionary for a bit of fun, to look up the dream I had last night. I have looked at a few but non were good enough (my dream involved worms :-) which wasnt in the dictionaries. Does anyone know of any good sites?? thanks

Have you tried these...

Meaning that you could email your dreams on a daily basis to an actual individual and get a personalized analysis of your dream emailed back within a 12-24 hour period? Im thinking maybe $5 per month? Please let me know.

Not when there are free Yahoo groups that have dream interpreters who do it for free!

Dream Interpretation Freud

It is reasonable to say that Sigmund Freud and Carl Jung modified the face of modern psychology and psychoanalysis. The impact of these to men extended far outside their disciplines in the area of caring for the mentally sick and the diagnosis and treatment of psychological anomalies.

Jung and Freud literally redefined how we view the mind and how it works. As such, their influence has been felt through culture from philosophy to faith to sociology. Freud pioneered a number of new concepts and concepts about the working of the mind and the way to go about diagnosing psychological disorders.

dreaming

One side of his revolutionary work had to do with dreams and the part they play in the way our minds work. Before Freud and Jung, Dream Interpretation had small credibility. But is was the work of Jung and his peer, Sigmund Freud that brought dream research and interpretation right into the heart of modern psychology and opened up the tenet that we are able to understand more about our minds by knowing what our subconscious selves are expressing thru dreams. Today, if you spend some time with a specialist, the content and interpretation of your dreams has a big signification to the inner workings of your character. It was Freud that introduced the theorem of keeping a "dream journal".

This straightforward practice of writing down in as much detail as you can the dreams you have each night made a methodology to chart the progression of dreams and to use the content of what happens in your subconscious at night as the basis for drawing conclusions about the patient's psychological state and what really should be done to enhance the patient's psychological well-being. Freud also hypothesized a first approach to working with clinical depression was thru the research and interpretation of the patient's dreams. There is lots of evidence that his ideas were on target. We know now that if you're having important difficulties either mentally or emotionally or in some area of your romantic, social or business life, that's going to generate lots of subconscious energy that may proof itself in your dream life. By documenting that dream life thru the utilization of the dream journal and then using what's learned to help diagnose the reason for depression, the consultant can prescribe treatment both in the shape of anti-depressant drugs and continued treatment. Many lives have been modified if not saved due to Freud's revolutionary concepts about the best way to diagnose depression thru dream interpretation.

And for that, we owe Freud a debt of gratitude.

There are too many dream interpreters and too many methods of Dream Interpretation, but none of them can assure you that they have really translated the exact meaning of each symbol that appeared in your dreams. They may somehow tell you what the symbol may mean, without explaining to you anything about the way they found their answers and without completely trusting their interpretation. Everyone is confused in this matter…

When I was searching the dream’s meaning, I had great difficulty in finding the method that could really help me. I looked for all the existing scientific methods because I understood that each psychologist gives importance to our dreams. The dreams seemed to be an important source of information, but I couldn't translate their language in order to understand their messages.

Many people want to learn the dreams’ meaning because they believe that their dreams can make predictions and give them important information about many things they want to learn. When I started to study my dreams I wanted very much to discover this part too. I never looked for popular dream interpretations, because I understood that they were subjective and baseless. Of course, one may find some remarkable translations of the dreams’ symbols that really correspond to their real meaning because they are the result of observation of many people.

Let’s suppose that some people from a village care about their dreams and that each time that someone in the village sees a certain object in their dream, something terrible happens to the village. Then they relate that object as a sign of bad luck. This way, many popular interpretations are valid. However, we never know if these popular interpretations are really the result of many years of observation and the result of the comparison of many dreams and many similar facts or events, or if they are just someone’s opinion.

So, we cannot trust these interpretations, even though some of them can be really helpful, if they are really the result of the observation of many people and the comparison of many dreams and facts related to them, because this is the way that a scientist discovers the symbolic meaning of a dream. This study when done by a scientist is very serious; it’s not the result of two or three comparisons. A scientist has to give us explanations. He cannot just say that this thing means that and expect us to accept his statement as if it were undoubtedly true.

Many psychologists and psychiatrists tried to translate the strange language of dreams, but until today, nobody knows for sure who discovered the truth. Some people believe that one of them is right, whereas some follow another one, and some don’t give any importance to their dreams. Dream interpretation is not something that we could specifically define and it’s not something that people consider important. Most people usually completely despise the dreams they see when they sleep.

So, it is an obscure matter.

I couldn't accept this situation though and I studied the dreams intensely, searching for the correct interpretation until I found it. Τoday we know for sure which is the exact translation of the symbolic language of our dreams, which I have proved like a scientist in my scientific ebook about this subject, continuing the research made by the famed psychiatrist and psychologist Carl Jung, who really discovered the exact translation for the dreams’ symbols!

However, Carl Jung’s method is very complicated, and he can scarcely be understood. Besides, he accepts ignorance in the end of his trip inside the human psyche, while I had indications from the unconscious that produces the dreams showing me that I should continue the research beyond the point where Jung accepted ignorance and stopped it.

My discoveries were amazing, so amazing that nobody believed me when I started telling everyone what I found inside the human psychic sphere. That’s why I had to write a book, explaining to everyone what exactly is hidden in the human psychic sphere, after explaining them how we can translate the exact symbolic meaning of our dreams.

I greatly simplified Jung’s complicated method, discovering for myself many meanings he could not find. Moreover, I realized that our dreams are more than very important, because they can cure us from the craziness we inherit in our psychic sphere. They can show us anything and help us solve any problem!

It’s also true that we can predict the future interpreting our dreams, but the visions we see are not about the things we desire to see, they are very serious. We see dreams with visions only when they’ll help us understand something very important or when they’ll help us avoid a big danger. It’s not true that we cannot change our destiny if we can predict that something bad is going to happen to us. If we follow the wise orientation the unconscious gives us in our dreams, we can certainly avoid what is bad and find the path that will lead us to peace and psychic health.

Prevent Depression and Craziness through the scientific method of Dream Interpretation discovered by Carl Jung and simplified by Christina Sponias, a writer who continued Jung's research in the unknown region of the human psychic sphere. Learn more at: http://www.booksirecommend.com

Dream Symbolism

Dream Symbols are highly individualistic though there are archetypes of symbols common to most of the people, it's customarily better to go inside yourself to discover the meaning of symbols in your dreams than to consult a dream compendium. Translating your dreams needs a knowledge of yourself. As an example, ask 3 people what the color'red' designates to them and you can get 3 different answers : Blood Stop Love Those answers could not be more different! Most pictures in dreams are like this, explaining why you're the best person to translate your own dreams. In a support session, a specialist will often ask you about your dreams.

But barely will they tell you what they mean. It could be a long process, but a really rewarding one that leads to life-enhancing revelations! Remember - Dreams are designed to reinforce your life while you are awake. They are critical messages from the depths of your soul, and all dreams are designed to come true! Learning from your dreams is forceful, but also fun! While dreams are intended to augment our lives and not just entertain us, there's definitely no problem with enjoying their entertainment worth along the way! As you begin to remember more of your dreams, you will be dazzled, and even blinded, at the latent creativeness in your mind's eye. And they are all produced personally for you and customised for your wishes.

Dream Definitions

"Let's get to the base of this." that's a phrase that you could have used or heard a director use it. It suggests let's cut thru the haze and understand precisely what an issue is so you can figure it out. It the business or objective world, we have logical systems to "get to the bottom" of what is happening in your universe or at least in your fast life. But when it comes to understanding our dreams, we frequently internally "throw up our hands" in disappointment because we permit ourselves to function under the mistaken belief that we won't put any definition to what is occurring in our dream lives. And without definition of what's going down in those visions and pictures in our subconscious, there's no way to "get to the bottom" of what your dreams mean to you.

First off, it's not right that we will not understand what dreams are, where they come from and what's in all probability the explanation why we have dreams. There's really lots of info available already at your disposal to "get to the bottom" of what you experience in your dreams. By beginning a "dream journal" you can document precisely what you saw in your dreams. That detail, when you collect it night after night will start to bare patterns. Then after you have got a few weeks or months of documented dreams, by stepping back and looking at them logically, the pattern of what has happened in your subconscious will jump out. To keep a dream book, you've got to make it a penchant to record the dream as fast after you have it as possible.

That means if you're awakened at 3:30 in the morning with a dream, get up and record it. Each morning, if there's a dream lingering in your consciousness, write down all you can remember about it.

This exercise will help you start to sort what is occurring in your dreams. You'll see repeated circumstances, folks, places and symbols. The very next step is education. There are tons of educated books out there that are written to be accepted by regular folk about the way to outline what you are seeing in your dreams. With your dream book in effect you have masses of material to work with to use the steerage of gurus in the sphere of the subconscious to translate what your dreams are communicating.
