My friend once told me how important it was to keep a dream dictionary…Why is it important?

   I’m not sure…but I think you may be referring to a type of journal or
   diary. This is simply to record your recollection of a dream for later
   reference. But it is quite important as the memory can become
   distorted over time. So it’s normally strongly suggested to write down
   your recollection ASAP after getting up.

   A dream dictionary is a book of general dream meanings. You can
   find that in a used book store.

   Writing down your dreams as soon as you wake up and recalling them as much as possible to keep yourself from forgetting is actually a really useful brain workout that you can do to practice lucid dreaming. Staying connected to your dreams can make them eventually extremely vivid and lucid. Astral Projectors record their dreams. Writing them down is also good if you ever want to go back and interpret them, interpreting dreams is great if you want to find out what’s really going on in the depths of you. Not in a fortune telling sense tho- in a psychological sense.

   dreams usually let you in on your feelings. also some poeple think that some dreams are messages or future visions stuff. but mainly a dream journal is really nice for me cause i love reading my dreams and trying to see if it represented my situation back then.
