Thanks a lot for posting this…I’ve been trying to figure out my recurring dream for a few weeks (maybe even months). I keep being chased…every night it’s a different thing chasing me, from people, to animals, to strange creatures. I’m not scared in my dreams, some times I actually shoot/throw stuff/fight back but there are too many chasers and I’m always running. I’ve read materials online that say it’s because I’m trying to avoid something. Is that the only possible explanation?
I guess a more appropriate question I would be asking myself about this dream is….is there someone who I feel I have to keep “reporting” to? Who I am feeling accountable to? A wife? A husband? A boss? Unless you have done something illegal in the last little while, and you really ARE concerned your past is going to reflect on the current “judgment”… then I would go with who or what am I feeling accountable to or for.
i keep dreaming about going to jail. not like getting arrested and going to jail, but like i have to report to jail, like i was already sentenced, and im always late to report. i just assumed that im worried about the past coming back to haunt me. i saw the movie the waking life the other day n it basically told me im gonna go to jail, like a psychic thing. im friggin nervous, help!!!!!!
What situation happened last week that has you feeling sad and betrayed in some way? Not necessarily about your husband. Look instead for who and/or what situation has you feeling that way. The dream is healthy. Why? Because you awoke crying. This means the dream inspired you to let some sadness out that you may have been holding in. Have you been bottling up some sadness about some issue?
iv been having dreams that my husband is cheating on me, what could this mean? i wake up crying in the morning because of the dream. I would really appreciate your help on this. Thank you.
Excuse me? Are you suggesting then that thoughts come to our conscious mind first and then go to our sub-conscious??
…
that is BULLSHIT
our uncocious doesnt think about that we have to think about it first for it to even come to us…. wow u think u know it all…tsss
Unless you were thinking of your ex, the day before u had the dream, it is NOT about him. Rather you have used him as a metaphor or symbol for someone else. I would have to speak with you in order to decode the dream as it relates to a current issue in ur life u are attempting to problem-solve. Please do feel free to visit my site for a consultation!
Last night I had a dream that my ex-husband proposed marriage and gave me a ring. But the ring was actually 4 rings put together and each of them had a different kind of gem stone wrapped around the ring. One ring had diamonds, one had rubies, one had green jade and the other was blu sapphires. I have not seen or spoken to this man in over 10 years. So, why would I have a dream like this? And what does the ring mean?
I would really appreciate your help on this. Thank you
Yes. It might be that, and it may not too. Maybe the dreamer LOVES the feeling of free falling! Maybe the dreamer once went parachuting and the dream reminds him of freedom! The point is for the dreamer to connect to what situation is going on in his life today that brings up that dream and what he personally experiences.
Dictionary, cookie cutter definitions are not typically helpful in attaching the dream to the specific issue the dreamer is attempting to problem-solve. Best to pose questions to the dreamer so that they can come to their own unique association to the symbols! Another way to help the dreamer click on a dream’s meaning is to share what the images would mean if you yourself used them in a dream. Are you are saying you really hate subways and wild animals bring your love of nature to mind?
@unique1express –wild animals reflect your love of nature; and you really hate subways.
@evangelion113th –falling is a common chidhood dream. It means lack of confidence or fear.
hi there!! can i ask something about my dream ? I always dream of that i fall into the air but everytime this happen i woke up. . what does it mean ? hope that u will answer my question. . THank you
Is there some situation in your life in which you are “walking a thin line”? Try and think in terms of metaphor. Are you having to be extremely careful about “getting” somewhere in some situation? Like a relationship or on the job front? Those are the kinds of questions I would ask myself to help me discover what the dream is about. Or is this dream about you practicing to be “straight” with yourself or with others? Is it hard to stay straight? (Sober)?
Yes Hello, What’s up with me having recurring dreams about subways and all the time, the platforms being real narrow that I have to walk a straight line almost like a tight rope ?
I also have dreams about wild animals too. May you help me with some insight, please ?
Well, I guess the obvious question is..What do you think is going on in your life this week that has you in a panic? If I was falling down a big black tunnel in a dream, it would be a sign of my feeling that I am “losing my ground”…feeling a loss of control about some situation…or maybe me feeling depressed. The point though is that your healthy self has posed this question to me. That Sir, is a very positive and promising comment about you.
i had a dream a few weeks ago my dream was that i was falling down a big black tunnel or funnel and i just woke up panacking sweatty and out of breath
A recurring dream that u have had over a period of years is prob. just a “favorite expression”. Like maybe whenever you feel overwhelmed in your waking life it translates to the picture of you having trouble staying above water in a dream. So the situations over the years might be different, but u might use the same metaphor to say to urself, “I am overwhelmed”. Get what I mean?
Thank you!!!
you are absolutely amazing!!
every now an then i have the same re occuring dream ive been having it for years what does that mean? also i dream of flying alot again what does that mean?please respond im very intrested to hear ur take on it thanks
Dreams don’t need to be “long” to get a message across to you. Also you should know that a nightmare is not a bad thing, it’s a good thing. Your healthy subconscious wants to get ur attention and succeeds! It is a sign that there is something bothering you in your waking life that needs your attention. Once people decode and understand why they had the nightmare they always say, “Of course I had that dream!”
On a side note I recently had a somewhat detailed and long dream that was more clear than normal.
Hmmm. I’ve been trying to find out why I never seem to have ‘good’ dreams. I only experience lesser interesting nightmares and worse horrific ones. The lesser ones are getting more common, perhaps only because I`m getting use to them. You have any tips or questions that might help? ‘Interesting’ as these dreams are I`d so much rather have at least a few peaceful ones.
