Oh no! Another strange dream! Symbolism in this dream…?
My husband and I were moving into a octagonal (8 sided) house with glass walls located high up on a bluff over-looking the Gulf of Mexico...The water stretched outward under the sun, sparkling...we were hanging wooden bench swings on the deck...I said "This one must face SW and this one must face SE"...my parents drifted through and then my husband's best friend, who announced he was moving in with us...I told him "No! You will have to move out within 1 to 6 weeks!" and my husband agreed...so any thoughts on the meaning of this dream? ha ha! Odd dream...I dreamed all night long but this is what I remember the most....
I've had similar dreams to this, and here's what I think.
You are a strong lady who knows her own mind. I think you were overriding sensations of lust with proper reasoning inyour dream. When we don't face things in daily life, they will tend to come back into our dreams to haunt us.
You are in a very warm, if not decidedly hot, place. You're swinging things 'down south'. You mentioned an ogtagonal house - did your sleeping mind come up with eight (ate). Lust is a simple instinct or hunger common to us all (or the human race would not exist!).
Also, you were in a glass house and everybody you cared for could see what was going on inside. Are you really that see-through? Perhaps in daily life you are aware that others are picking up on a slightly increased chemistry between your husband's friend and yourself.
You told the friend in your dream that he would have to leave in a set amount of time. You know, deep down inside, that any fleeting chemistry between you and another man other than your husband is just that - fleeting.
I congratulate you on your strong marriage and family, and also your strong mind!

I think emmax2304 hit the nail on the head. Attraction for the opposite sex is normal, as you know. To be attracted to your husbands best friend is normal, he is probably very similar to your husband. If he weren’t, he wouldn’t be your husbands best friend. Now, not to sound overly insensitive, nor overly worldly, threesomes are not only a man’s fantasy, but a woman’s also. And, you’re daring anyone, glass house high on a hill, to say it is wrong. A stop sign is eight sided, but you don’t want to stop, now. Give it 1 to 6 weeks for the affair to end. You’re, inside, hoping for your husbands approval, "my husband agreed". I have found, for myself, it looks good in dreams, but sucks in reality. May you decide wisely and with Right Thought for All.
Namaste
Peace and Love

My thoughts
To see a cup in your dream, represents nurturance and the womb. The cup may also signify healing, rejuvenation, and healing. Alternatively, it indicates a transcendence into a realm of higher consciousness. Is the cup half-full or half-empty? Do you see life from an optimistic or pessimistic point of view.To see a cup with a broken handle, indicates your feelings of inadequacy and anxieties of being unable to handle a particular situation. To see a broken cup in your dream, denotes feelings of powerlessness, guilt and/or low self-esteem. Perhaps you feel unqualified or inadequate in dealing with a situation.
To see your home in your dream, signifies security, basic needs, and values. You may feel at home at your new job or you finally feel settled and comfortable in a new environment. In particular, to see your childhood home or a home that you no longer live in, suggests your own desires for building a family. It also reflects aspects of yourself that were prominent or developed during the time you lived in that home. You may experience some feelings or unfinished expression of emotions that are now being triggered by a waking situation. To dream that you cannot find your way home, indicates that you have lost faith and belief in yourself. It may also signify a major transition in your life.
