I believe surrealists. Can you give me an example or two of how any type of writer transofrmed dream logic into a piece of rich, intelligible writing ?

A dream dictionary is something that defines your dreams. Anyone know of any website that tells you this?
Check out the dream dictionary at www.dreamdoctor.com. It is well researched. All of the definitions are based on the largest database of dreams in the world. So, if you want to find out the meaning of a "tidal wave" in dreams, their definition in based on literally thousands of tidal wave dreams in their database.
While there are bigger dream dictionaries on the Internet, many have definitions that are wrong, misleading and/or unsupported. Be sure to check how the site came up with their definition. The last thing you need is a Dream Dictionary with bad information. Garbage in, garbage out.
Dream Doctor Dream Dictionary also provides links to common dreams that use the dream symbol. all interpreted by the Dream Doctor, which lets you see how the dream symbol works in context.
If you can't find a dream symbol in their dictionary, you can write to them and they will help.

I can't find any info on this on the net. I have had about 10 dreams where I am in an airplane that cannot take off. In one dream all of the doors for the airplane where made out of tent screens and since they were allowing air to pass through, the airplane couldn't build cabin pressure to take off (I know that has nothing to do with being able to take off). In another dream the plane would take off but half way up it would be pulled right back down as if attached to a rubberband. I have several dreams where the plane is on a track like a rollercoster and when it gets to the end where it is supposed to take off, the dream ends. I did have one dream where I actually got somewhere in a plane but I can't remember it. All of these weird dreams have made me scared of flying even though I had flown several times before they started. What does this mean? Anyone know or have any links to Dream Analysis info?
Ok since i got some really off center replies, let me elaborate. I am not a male and therefore, have no sexual dysfuncation. My husand does not either. I do no procrastinate and I weight 125 lbs so I def don't need to lose weight.
Unconsciously your brain is stuck on a problem. There's something that you are trying to solve but can't, something (this could even be yourself) is holding you back or stopping you.
I used to have this same dream (not exactly the same but about) so I bought a dream interpreter book, this is what it told me it means.

I was just curious how many people believe dream symbolism is accurate. Thanks for answering.
I do(: i believe your dreams reflect what you are going through in present life but more complex. and you dream about things you noticed sub consciously through the day. dreams are complex things really xD

Meaning that you could email your dreams on a daily basis to an actual individual and get a personalized analysis of your dream emailed back within a 12-24 hour period? Im thinking maybe $5 per month? Please let me know.
Not when there are free Yahoo groups that have dream interpreters who do it for free!

It is reasonable to say that Sigmund Freud and Carl Jung modified the face of modern psychology and psychoanalysis. The impact of these to men extended far outside their disciplines in the area of caring for the mentally sick and the diagnosis and treatment of psychological anomalies.
Jung and Freud literally redefined how we view the mind and how it works. As such, their influence has been felt through culture from philosophy to faith to sociology. Freud pioneered a number of new concepts and concepts about the working of the mind and the way to go about diagnosing psychological disorders.

One side of his revolutionary work had to do with dreams and the part they play in the way our minds work. Before Freud and Jung, Dream Interpretation had small credibility. But is was the work of Jung and his peer, Sigmund Freud that brought dream research and interpretation right into the heart of modern psychology and opened up the tenet that we are able to understand more about our minds by knowing what our subconscious selves are expressing thru dreams. Today, if you spend some time with a specialist, the content and interpretation of your dreams has a big signification to the inner workings of your character. It was Freud that introduced the theorem of keeping a "dream journal".
This straightforward practice of writing down in as much detail as you can the dreams you have each night made a methodology to chart the progression of dreams and to use the content of what happens in your subconscious at night as the basis for drawing conclusions about the patient's psychological state and what really should be done to enhance the patient's psychological well-being. Freud also hypothesized a first approach to working with clinical depression was thru the research and interpretation of the patient's dreams. There is lots of evidence that his ideas were on target. We know now that if you're having important difficulties either mentally or emotionally or in some area of your romantic, social or business life, that's going to generate lots of subconscious energy that may proof itself in your dream life. By documenting that dream life thru the utilization of the dream journal and then using what's learned to help diagnose the reason for depression, the consultant can prescribe treatment both in the shape of anti-depressant drugs and continued treatment. Many lives have been modified if not saved due to Freud's revolutionary concepts about the best way to diagnose depression thru dream interpretation.
And for that, we owe Freud a debt of gratitude.
